MOTAT's Collection tells the story of technology, innovation, transport, and social history in New Zealand. Our Collections Online hold over 80,000 items. We are constantly adding to this resource as we continue the digitisation of the Collection.

MOTAT’s Walsh Memorial Library houses an extensive collection of historical records, archives, and materials reflecting Auckland’s social history and New Zealand’s unique history of transport and technology.

If you are interested in donating collections to the Museum, we have an acquisitions process which needs to be carefully followed.
