INCLUDED IN GENERAL ADMISSION
Please note: This exhibition is unavailable until early October due to the development of the new science and technology centre in Building 5.
Kiwis have been using printing presses since the 1830s. At the Print Shop, skilled volunteers keep this tradition alive using MOTAT’s extensive printing collection. See the whole printing process live, from the careful work of hand-setting moveable type to the amazing mechanisms of a Heidelberg letterpress. Learn the history of these amazing machines and take home a hand-printed souvenir of your visit.
