Join us from 14 to 20 September as we celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with a week full of playful, creative, and hands-on experiences for tamariki and whānau!

Discover the magic of te reo within Te Puawānanga, where you can play whānau friendly games that teaches pronunciation, word recognition and playful learning through language. Swing by the Science Alive Te Manawa Magic Box and get crafty with our special printing press activity, create and take home your own Māori print.

Explore the museum through a te reo Māori themed stamp trail, with each stop introducing a new kupu. Plus, see items from the MOTAT collection highlighting Māori communications and technology.

And don’t miss the fun in the Aviation Hall, where adventurous te reo stories, puzzles and games will spark imaginations and get everyone learning through play.
