MOTAT will be bubbling over with excitement this Labour Weekend as Ngā Mirumiru Bubbles bounces back for three fun-filled days. Be amazed by spectacular live bubble shows, interactive bubble displays, and hands-on activities designed for the whole whānau.

Ngā Mirumiru Bubbles is a playful way for tamariki to explore science, spark their imagination and dive into bubble-filled fun. Try catching a bubble, painting with bubbles, creating giant bubble wands or even stepping inside a giant bubble.

But bubbles are more than just fun. They open the door to fascinating scientific concepts such as fluid mechanics, observation, and experimentation. Throughout the weekend, tamariki can observe, investigate, discover, and play while developing the curiosity and critical thinking that are at the heart of science.

Inspired by our location at Te Wai Ōrea Western Springs, Ngā Mirumiru Bubbles also explores our connection to water and the environment. Discover the importance of water conservation and healthy ecosystems, and learn about the rich history of this special place.

Explore the historic Pumphouse, home to Auckland's first major public waterworks, where the waters of Te Wai Ōrea were harnessed to help supply a growing Tāmaki Makaurau.

Alongside all the bubble-filled excitement, enjoy hands-on design challenges, make-and-take crafts, tram rides, delicious food trucks, live entertainment and plenty more family fun throughout the long weekend.
