Current Closures and Maintenance
We occasionally need to close certain areas to perform checks and for maintenance work. Other times we are changing exhibitions or setting up for something new. Check here for any planned closures.
Where possible, we try to schedule maintenance work during quieter periods to minimise disruption to visitors. We apologise for any inconvenience to your plans.
CURRENT CLOSURES:
A planned shutdown of the Western Springs Tramway is scheduled for 11-15 August. This is so that overhead wires at the passing loop on Motions Road can be properly remediated following the tramway upgrade.
The Waitakere Station model railway is closed for maintenance
