Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

Haere mai ki te whakanui i Te Wiki o te Reo Māori mai i te 13 ki te 21 o Mahuru – he wiki kī tonu i te ngahau; tūhura ngā mahi auaha me ngā mahi ā-ringa, mā ngā tamariki me te whānau katoa!

Kia ruku atu koe ki te ao mīharo o te reo i Te Puawānanga – whuia ngā mahi o te mataono, pūrei kēmu kāri, tatau ngā poraka ātaahua, he nui rawa ngā mahi ngahau! Peka atu ki te Science Alive Te Manawa Magic Box ka waihanga toi mā te whakamahi i te pehi māhana – haria mai tō ake tīhāte, pēke rānei, ka pehia tō ake hoahoa “Kia Kaha te Reo Māori” hei taonga mōu.

Me haere hoki koe ki te Print Shop ki te tiki tohu pukapuka reo Māori, ā, ki te mātakitaki i te hītori ora tonu mā te kiriata o He Whakaputanga e tāia ana. (Ka tuwhera i te 14, 17, 18 me te 21 o Mahuru.)

Ā, kei te Aviation Hall hoki i ngā kōrero whai mana, me ngā panga, ngā kēmu hoki ka whakahīhiko i te hinengaro, ka taea koe te ako mā te tākaro.

He kaupapa whakahirahira tēnei, ka tika me whakanui ngātahi tātou i te reo Māori – kia kaha te reo Māori!

Join us from 13 to 21 September as we celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with a week full of playful, creative, and hands-on experiences for tamariki and whānau!

Discover the magic of te reo within Te Puawānanga, where you can roll action dice, play card games, count with colourful blocks, and more! Swing by the Science Alive Te Manawa Magic Box and get crafty with our special heat press activity, bring your own t-shirt or tote bag and press your own “Kia Kaha te reo Māori” design to take home and wear with pride!

Pop into the Print Shop to grab a te reo Māori bookmark and watch powerful history in action with footage of He Whakaputanga being printed. (Open on 14, 17, 18 & 21 September.)

And don’t miss the fun in the Aviation Hall, where adventurous te reo stories, puzzles and games will spark imaginations and get everyone learning through play.
