Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

Join us from 13 to 21 September as we celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori with a week full of playful, creative, and hands-on experiences for tamariki and whānau!

Discover the magic of te reo within Te Puawānanga, where you can roll action dice, play card games, count with colourful blocks, and more! Swing by the Science Alive Te Manawa Magic Box and get crafty with our special heat press activity, bring your own t-shirt or tote bag and press your own “Kia Kaha te reo Māori” design to take home and wear with pride!

Pop into the Print Shop to grab a te reo Māori bookmark and watch powerful history in action with footage of He Whakaputanga being printed. (Open on 14, 17, 18 & 21 September.)

And don’t miss the fun in the Aviation Hall, where adventurous te reo stories, puzzles and games will spark imaginations and get everyone learning through play.

Let’s celebrate te reo Māori together – kia kaha te reo!

Please note: there may be filming and/or photography taken for marketing purposes.
