We use the MOTAT collection to investigate scientific phenomena and marvels of engineering while exploring the influence of different cultures and historical periods on the development of science and engineering.
There is something for everyone, from the earliest learners to emergent scientists and engineers.
SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES
Take off on a journey into the physics of flight. This flight programme explores the forces of flight and will leave learners with an understanding of lift, drag, thrust, and weight.
Groups will be able to create their own flying contraptions with test their working theories.
Suitable for Years 3+.
Get hands on while learning all about the simple machines that make up our world. In this program, students will come to understand and interact with the simple machines of; the wheel and axel, the pulley, the inclined plane, the wedge, and lever.
Suitable for Years 0 - 8.
A variety of science experiments exploring sound, magnetism, electricity, light, and biology.
